I recently had the pleasure of staying at this 19th-century maternity hospital turned charming hotel in Porvoo, and it exceeded all my expectations. The rich history of the building added a unique charm to my stay, making me appreciate the cultural significance of the location. Walking just 10 minutes to the city center, I was surrounded by peaceful nature, with a stunning forest on one side and a relaxing swimming pool on the other, creating a perfect balance for a serene getaway.The shared kitchen was a highlight for me, as I enjoy preparing my meals using local produce, and the well-equipped kitchen space provided a lovely environment for cooking. The friendly and caring staff, particularly the reception lady who went above and beyond by preparing a comforting cup of tea after my forest walk, added a personal touch to my experience. The proximity to a variety of facilities such as a swimming hall, sports hall, and running trails made it an ideal location for families looking for an active autumn vacation.my short one-night stay left me wishing for more time at this tranquil retreat. The blend of history, modern amenities, and exceptional service made my visit truly memorable, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and enriching stay in Porvoo.
